I have been reading motoring books since long ago, but Autopia kept my attention from the first till the last page. It really "is the first book to explore the culture of the motor car in the widest possible sense".
In Autopia, the car is examined as a hugely important determinant of 20th-century culture. For all motoring enthousiasts, the book should be endlessly fascinating.
